Krka Waterfalls, Skradin & Šibenik

The perfect itinerary for a day trip; Skradin, Krka Waterfalls and Šibenik combine three majestic destinations into one fabulous day of exploration! Skradin is a small picturesque town located at the mouth of the Krka river. The beauty of this historical town is fitting for your first introduction to the Krka National Park. The Krka river springs from the foothills of the Dinara mountains and is a natural and karst phenomenon flowing over 70 kilometers.

One of the main attractions of the vast park are the seven magnificent travertine waterfalls including Skradinski Buk, one of Croatia’s most famous sights. Krka national park is surrounded by preserved ecosystems with a wide variety of both flora and fauna. Over 800 species of plant life and more than 200 different bird species live here. Stroll along the winding wooden paths through the main park area and visit the Ethno museum housed in an old mill at Skradinski buk. One of the highlights of visiting Krka NP during the warmer months is that unlike Plitvice Lakes, this park allows swimming so don’t forget your swimsuit and sunscreen! Continue your adventurous day of exploring by arriving to Šibenik. This gem is the only town in Croatia that has not one but two UNESCO World Heritage Sites! This historical, fortified town is the oldest native Croatian town on the shores of the Adriatic sea.

Optional extra: Complete your day with an authentic wine paired lunch in a boutique winery before returning to Split.
